E : ght Uaious, rxolusiva of Auckland, Hawke's Biy, and M.iriborough, have forwardid ti t'-.e Seleotion Committee of the New Zaalaud Rugby Union nominations of thirty mf>n for Australia. The Auckland, Hawke's Bay, and Marlborough nominations will reach here on Friday nigit. It is expected that the total will be forty, and that the capabilities of the players nominated will render the work of the Cjmmittse one of great difficulty. A majority of the men intimate their ability to get the necessary leave. Auckland, This Day. The Auckland Rugby Union Selection Committee has recommended the following players for inclusion in the team to be chosen for the Australia tour :— threequarters F. M. Jervois, halves W. Elliott, M. Harrolds, forwards R. H. McKenzie, C. Speight. D. Stewart, F. Murray, M. McKinnon M. Wright, R. Greene, and J. Cole. The list wUI probably be reduced to five or six at the final selection. If the Southerners have not a better man for full back, Masefield will probably be put forward.
