CONCERT AT THE BOYS' COLLEGE.
The concert which was given at the Boys' College last evening attracted a large audience, aud che room waa crowded to excess. The room in which the concert was given was tjstef ally decorated with flags, and the bayonets and carbides of the hoys, together with their bats and tenuis rackets, wero grouped on the walls. The programme was of a very attractive nature, and passed off from start to (inish with great eclat, Mrs F. Adams' song, " Alia Stetta Coufidente," (with violin obbligato) was the gem of the evening, and she was vociferously encored, and gave the last part of the song again, Mrs Houlker sang an Italian song (the name of which we could not obtain) with much taste and expression, and for an encore sang " Close to the Threshold '" very sweetly. The trio by Miss C. Richmond, Mrs Houlker, aud Miss M. Greenfield was one of the prettiest things of the evening, and was exceedingly well rendered. Mr Fell's song " Lay of the Imprisoned Huntsman " was awarded an encore, and Mr Grace, who sang " Vanity," was also called back. Miss Atkinson and Miss Richmond and the Misses Jackson contributed largely to the instrumental part of the programme, and played with their usual brilliancy. The violin and piano duet by lierr Zimmermaun and M*B3 Jaokson aud she violin duet by Herr Zimmermann and Mr Joynt were greatly admired and muoh applauded. Mr Cooke and Mr Joynt gavo two excellent readings, the former being very amusing, aud the latter very interesting. The quarteta by the Rev. J. P. Kempthorne, Mr Luoas, Mr Joynt, and the Rev. F. W. Chaiterion were very well rendered, the voices blending exceedingly well. The two part songs by the boys [ were also well sung.
