WAIMEA WEST ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on the 3rd inst j when Messrs C. F. Euss, G. Hunter, Christopher, Jordan, and W, Ruas were present. Mr C. F, Russ was elected Chairman and Treasurer for the ensuing year. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A ballot for the retiring members at the end of! the ensuing year was taken, when the lot fell upon Messrs C. F. Russ, and W. E, Russ. The list of the ratepayers in arrears was read, aud it was resolved that summonses be taken for next Court day at Brightwater against all the defaulters. Resolved, That tenders be invited for the 3upply of day men and day-carts for the ensuing year, such tenders to be in by the 30bh June 18D0. ' Resolved, That Mr Jordan inspect footbridge, and order the necessary repairs on Stitherley's road. Resolved, That the bridge on Aldourie road be iuspeoted by the Board. Payments were authorised for £7 14s. Next meeting to be held on Tuesday July 1, at 7 p.m.
