Sydney, October 15. The miners of the Wallsend mine who are out on strike attacked the non-union men working in the mine. Stones were f realy used, but fortunately only slight injuries were inflicted. Melbourne, October 15. A lunatic named Spellacy confined in the Ararat asylum murdered another patient named Foster. The murderer hacked the victim's body terribly with a spada. The engine drivers on the wharves have struck on account of the long hours they are required to work. The discharging 1 of vessels is seriously impeded by the strike, J. L. Hall, the well known actor, died suddenly on Sunday. He had been suffering from a pulmonary complaint. Albany, October 15.
