Sib— We have read your leader of the 9fch iust. in reference to the strike of the unemployed, and it is so far as it goes a correct statement. But we should like to give a little additional information as to the reason why we struck. The telegram was read to na that Mr Brough wa3 ordered to dismiss all but 10 or 12 of the deserving men and fill up the vacancies by strangers, and if too many applied for work to discharge the remaining 10 or 12 men. We thought this very unjust to us, as not one of us were aßked personally, nor were we informed how we were to get to the place, on the length of time the job would last, or any particulars whatever and besides Mr Braugh. having re , fused to draught ua we objected to be draughted out like sheep by a Btranger.
