TO THE EDITOK OF THE " EVENING .MAIL," Sib, — I noticed in your issue of Thursday last ft paragraph calling attention to the grand International Temperance Convention to be held at Melbourne in November next. This gathering, I judge, will be one of World-wide interest, und its icfluence on the cause of temperance marktd b/ unusual opportunities to confer with men of first rank in the temperance world. I wish to impress on the friends of temperance reform bore the advisability of Bending a represent ' tative to this Convention, as bucu an opportunity is not very likely to occur again for a great many years, end should not ' be neglected. To this end some money is needed and can be easily raised if a few workers get op some entertainment of a popular character, the proceeds to be applied to the object named so that each person oan contribute a trifle and have a share in the good work proposed, and thus help to leave the world better than it would be if this glorious opportunity was passed by unnoticed. I am, &c, ' Willing to Help.
