Wellington, Jane 5. The charge of stealing sh«ep preferred against Biohard Smith was concluded this afternoon and dismissed. It was shown the sheep alleged to be stolen were his own pro* perty, though bearing the same earmark as those lost from Terawiti. Auckland, June 5. The tailors' strike has ended, masters and men having agreed that work shall be resumed on the basis of the National log. The rate of pay is to be lOd per hour for best work and 9d per hour for a lower class of work.
