RICHMOND TOWN BOARD.

I The ordinary monthly meeting of the Board was held on Tuesday, December 13th, at 730 p.m. Present all the members except Mr Mcßae. Resolved on the recommendation of the Works Committee that tbe work proposed on the road near the southern boundary of the township be deferred until later in the season, when gravel will be available from the reserve. The sub-Committee appointed to confer wiih tha owners ol properties required for reservoir and other works connected with the water supply reported, having on the whole been favourably received, with the exception of a little difficulty in one direction, whioh however would probably be unimportant. Resolved, That the fee to ba oharged for the registration of dogs in the town district for ths ensuing year be fixed at 7s 6d per collar, nho that tho olerk be aproin'ed collector of Dog Tox and npply to the late collector for- the return of auy surplus collars aud r-coipt forms that may have b-en left; from the previous year's collection. Resolved, That the clerk be instructed to acknowledge tho payment made by the County Council for license fees collected, and olso request ioforma' ion as to bow the expenses iv councci ion with tbe collection are arrived at. Resolved, Tha*. tbe Chairman communicate with tho General Government with regard to the monry to be borrowed for the proposed water sup ly. Permifsion was given to tbe day man to accept harvest work when no very necessary work for tho Board is required. The Clerk waa au'horired to procure come furniture &*•. required for the Bo.rd'a officr, Accounts wero passed and payments authorised amounting to £23 13s fid.
