ATTEMPTED MURDER.
Auckland. J About 10 lasb night Michael Lunny, residj ing at the North Shore, attempted to murder his wife and a man named MuGuiro by [. Khoo'.ing with a revolver. Mrs Lunny had loft hor husband and was living with McGuire. Last ni<rht on her going to see her five children, her husband fifed two shots at her, ono lodging iv the ground and the second grazing her head. He afterwards shot twice at McGuire but rais.-ed him Lunny was arrested shortly after. The wife's j wound is serious. The prisoner says he is ' sorry he did not kill bath. He bought the revolver since his wile left him, evidi ntly for the purpose.
