[PRKBS AQENCT.] Wellington, Wednesday night. Mr Bryce's report on the Bay of Islands roll stuffing is published in the Gazelle. It fully bears out what has been already published purporting to be the subatancc of the report. At a meeting of the creditors in the case of Bryce, an insolvent publican at Pauhautanui, Mr Smith, the chief creditor, said the case was a shameful one, and Mr Krull said the Court should take the case up if fraud were discovered. The meeting was very stormy. The Mayor has the positive assurance of the General Government that the erection of the Supreme Court and Post and Telegraph Offices will be commenced before Parliament meets. [Well, suppose he has— who cares ?] It is probable that the Wesleyans will sell the site of the burnt church, and build on another Bpot. The proprietors of the Theatre Royal intend getting a new sunlight on a different principle, there being still a strong opinion that it caused the late f-e at the Opera House. The Chronicle says that when Mr Barton comes back a petition will be got up asking him to resign. The press generally disapproves of any relaxation of the building regulations. It is stated that the Union Company have also decided to reduce their rates of wages to the same figure as that decided on by the ship owners of the port. It is rumored here that a dissolution will be granted and agreed to about three weeks after the meeting of Parliament, and that the Opposition will not move a want of confidence motion after debating the address in reply, but endeavor to defeat the Ministry on one of their measures. It is expected that the Re-distribution of Seats Bill will be agreed to by all parties, and therefore there will be a dissolution. If Wellington should obtain three seats, the candidates will be Messrs Hunter,* Pearce, Levin, and possibly Dr. Buller. Donkdin, Wednesday night. At a fire at the Brushware Factory in the Octagon yesterday damage was done to the extent of about £150. It was insured in the Colonial for £520.
