May 6 —The Court of High Commissoners has practically concluded its labors, and is only awaiting the action taken by the Knglish Cabinet. The conditions are not definitely known. It is believed that the anudian Fishi-ries rights, and the navigation of the St Lawrence will be conceeded to America for special indemnity. No reciprocity to Canada is conceded by the United States. The Alabama claims will be submitted a spechl Commission, and the claims of British subjects f*>r compensntion for acts of the rebel States will be placed on the same footing. The question of the North-west boundary, including the litle to the Island of .^an Juan, is to be submitted to the arbitration of the Kings of Belgium and Italy, and the President of Switzerland. Mrs. Laura D"; Fair has been convicted of the murder of her late paramour, the Hon. — ' 'rittenden. It is probable that the sentence will be commut^l to imprisonment for life.
