CARLETON
The Tennis and Cricket Clubs held their final dance in the hall on Friday evening. A good attendance had gathered, and danced to music supplied by Mrs G. Mehrtens. Extras were supplied by Mrs L. Farr, Miss O. Fantham, Messrs E. Reid, E. Beckley, and A. Wornall. Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Miss Brain and Mr F. Oldman, Miss J. Oldman and Mr W. Scoltock. A statue dance was won by Miss D. Reid and Mr E. McLauchlan. Mr A. W- Inch was M.C.
Among those present were Mr and Mrs R. Reid, Mr and Mrs G. Mehrtens, Mr and Mrs L. Farr, Mr and Mrs E. Beckley, Mr and Mrs G. Washington, Mesdames J. Feather, S. Glew, E. Storer, Lucas, and H. Tomlinson (Oxford), Misses Pearl Higginson (Oxford), Myrtle Paget, N. Campbell, O. Fantham, Daisy Reid, M. Glew, Madge Dewar, Mavis Farr, Myrtle Feather, Evelyn Reid, Molly Bennett, Scoltock, E. Brain, T. Farr, Joan Bennett, Gladys Feather, Joan Oldman, Betty Storer, M. O'Loughlin, Scoltock, and Pearl Brain.
