In a compact area, such as Whangarei, where booths are easily accessible to everyone, voters do not require much time to make their- choice.
Consequently yesterday afternoon was a holiday for most people and, being fine and w?rm, they took advantage of the opportunity for relaxation and recreation. Bowlers and tennis players were in force at their clubs, while the Central Park swimming pool was a popular rendezvous for many of the younger residents.
