Will Register In U.S. Greek Army Cuts
NEW YGRK, Thu.—The defence attorneys announced today that the Russian Amtorg Trading Corporation had decided to register as a foreign agent in the United States. Mr Isador Needlcmen, attorney for Amtorg, made the announcement at the hearing for the removal to Washington of five officials of the Russian purchasing agency. The hearing was adjourned until November 2.
Amtorg and the five Russian officials who appeared before the United States Commissioner (Mr Edward MacDonald) today, were indicted by a Federal grand jury in Washington last week for failing to register as foreign agents. Arbitration Court
WELLINGTON, Fri. (P.A.)—Several further sittings of the Arbitration Court are scheduled for Wellington before the court leeves for Auckland Where it will begin sittings on November 22.
The court will later sit at New Plymouth and will be absent from Wellington for a little over a fortnight. This year, in respect of issuing awards is likely to be one of the busiest since 1938 when a record number of over 200 was issued.
