Electric Stove Ablaze
When Mrs I. N. Fenhale, of 59 Park Avenue, Whangarei, put on a roast to cook in her electric kitchen stove at about 11.30 this morning, she hardly expected to find the oven on fire 10 minutes later.
The Whangarei Fire Brigade was called at 12.45 and was promptly on the scene.
The blaze was extinguished with a bucket pump.
The only damage caused was to the stove itself.
