Women's Tennis Team For NSW
AUCKLAND, Fri., fSp.n— Four of Ihe six members of Hie New Zealand women’s lawn tennis team to tour New South Wales left by the Wnnganclla yesterday.
They were the captain, Miss M. L. Kerr, of Dunedin, Miss Burke, of Stratford, Miss E. G. Attwood, of Auckland, and Miss B. Potter, of Waiuku.
The remaining players, Misses .T. R. McGibbon, of Christchurch, and E. Becroft, of Auckland, will fly to Sydney on Wednesday. Both have to sit university examinations on Monday.
The team will play matches in NewSouth Wales country districts before meeting a full-strength state team in a two-day match of 18 rubbers.
It will then play in the New South Wales championships at the White City courts.
The New South Wales association has arranged partners for the combined doubles events and it has also arranged for Misses Burke and Becroft to play in the junior championships.
