Rubber Workers 7 Award
WELLINGTON, Wed., (P.A.).— Officials of the Rubber Workers’ Union agreed to bring their claims for a new award into line to within a certain degree with those put forward by the Auckland and Canterbury joint union, staled a representative of the joint union after a meeting of the two bodies arranged by the Federation of Labour today. Amendments to the Wellington claims will be considered when the proposals of the joint union are referred to members of the Wellington Union, it was stated. The secretary of the Federation of Labour (Mr K. M. Baxter) beyond confirming that the rubber industry position hbda een sdciza-STAOINOIN position had been discussed at the meeting, made no comment.
