Leopold Agrees To Referendum
BRUSSELS, Mon. GO a.m.).—King Leopold of Belgium has agreed to the referendum on his return to the throne and has agreed to abdicate if he secures less than 55 per *i:ent of the voles. This was announced at a meeting of Liberal senators today by their president (M. Octave Dierck) after he had seen Belgian Premier Gaston Eyskens. The Premier returned to Brussels earlier today after meeting the King near Geneva. The bill providing for the referendum on King Leopold’s return is to be debated in the Belgian Upper House next week.
