Another Port To Work

WELLINGTON, Sat. iP.A.).— The Motueka branch of the Waterside Workers’ Union has informed the Minister of Labour (Mr McLagan) by telegram that it dissociates itself from the policy of the national, union in respect of restricted hours oi work.

The Minister said last night that Motueka was the third port to follow the good example set by members at Timaru. He had signed an order restoring the eommisssion form of control to members at Motueka and the benefits which went with it, including the payment of a guaranteed wage.
