To Command New Dominion Liner
AUCKLAND, Sat. (P.A.).—Captain A. E. Lettington, D.F.C., former master of the old Ruahine, will command the New Zealand Shipping Company's new 22.000-ton passenger-cargo liner Rangitoto on her maiden voyage. - The Rangitoto will leave London for Wellington on August 25. Captain Lettington won the D.F.C. in the First World War and joined the New Zealand Shipping Co. in 1919. The Rangitoto, which has single class accommodation for 410 passengers and a cruising speed of 17 knots, is at present on trials in the Clyde.
