Education Grants
WELLINGTON. Fri. (P.A.). Increased grants to cover the administration costs of education boards themselves and various educational activities in schools are provided for in the Education Board Grants Regulations, 1949, gazetted last night. Grants affected will be paid on a different basis from that adopted in the past. Arother set of regulations, the Postprimary School Grants Regulations. 1949, which are also gazetted, make provision for increased grants to cover incidental expenses at post-primary schools. The basis of which such allocations may be made, is also slightly different-' from those ruling in the past.
