OBITUARY...
KAITAIA, Fri. (Sp.).— The death occurred at the Kaitaia Public Hospital early on Wednesday afternoon of Mr Marino Lunjevich, aged 60 years, far the past 40 years a wellknown farmer of the Herekino and Whangape districts. The youngest of five brothers, Mr Lunjevich settled in the Far North after emigrating from Yugoslavia. For most of his life in New Zealand he was working and farming at Herekino and was closely identified with the progress of the area, but in latter years moved to Whangape where he developed a model property noted for its vineyards and orchards. Particular interest was attached to his successful culture of olive trees on this property. He married Miss Elizabeth Waru, of Whangape 33 years ago, and surviving him in addition to his wife are five daughters, Mesdames N. Leef, Kaitaia, N. Procter, Whangarei, M. Unkovich, Yugoslavia, H. Veza. Herekino and Miss E. Lunjevich, Auckland, and six sons, Messrs Marino, George, Jack, Luke and Edward Lumjevich, Herekino and Dan Lunjevich, Auckland. Surviving brothers are Messrs Luke Lunjevich, Kaitaia and Peter and Dan Lunjevich. Herekino. The funeral at Whangape was largely attended.
