LONDON, Wed. G p.m.).—Lord Astor today offered to treat the Goodwood Bentinck Stakes as a dead-heat and divide the first and second prizemoney with the French owner, M. Nicot. Lord Astor’s horse. High Stakes, was declared winner when the judges misread a photo-finish picture last Wednesday. In a letter to M. His offer to pool the prize-money was not to be taken as a precedent or as challenging the judges’ verdict.
