All Blacks Glad Of Few Days' Spell

PRETORIA, Wed.—The All Blacks were fortunate that the railway smash in which they were involved did not occur on the eve of a midweek match. This incident upset their travelling schedule between Salisbury and Pretoria, and they were 12 hours late in arriving at Pretoria.

However, their next match does not take place until Saturday, so that they will still have a useful few days’ spell. All the players need this, as, although none were injured in the smash, several had nasty shakes and a certain amount of nervous reaction set in later. The Otago forward Willocks, landed on his shoulder when thrown from his bunk. This later gave him trouble and may affect his preparation for the second test. Allen has had nine games on this {our, bringing his total to 97, and with nine games left he should reach the century. When he registered his brilliant try on Saturday against Rhodes_ia, Scott brought his total in 11 matches to 33 points, which have been scored by all possible sources—namely, one try, seven conversions of tries, six penalty goals and one field goal. Scott has played in most games, followed by Henderson. McNab, Harvey Skinner and Simpson, ten each, and Elvidge, Allen, Crowley, Kearney and Grant, nine each.
