Radio Sfarfs Fire Kaitaia Htayse

KAITATA, Sat. • (Sp.)—Thought to have originated in a radio set which was found completely burned out, fire threatened a small dwelling in Melody Lane, Kaitaia, yesterday afternoon. Owned by Mr L. Vega, the cottage was occupied by Mr and Mrs G. J. Paterson.

The Kaitaia Volunteer Fire Brigade made a creditable save in quelling the outbreak after only a few feet of interior partition had beer, burned, arid household effects damaged. The occupants were absent at the Arne and the alamt was given, by Mrs M. Whitefield.
