Alleged Subversion
WELLINGTON, Thu. (P.A.). Consideration would be given to the suggestion of a Royal Commission to inquire into alleged subversive activities in New Zealand, said the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) in the House of Representatives yesterday in reply to a questic.n by Mr A. S. Sutherland (.o—Hauraki).
Mr Fraser said inquiries would be made into the information which had induced remarks attributed to the president of the Auckland Traces Council to the effect that "the Communist boss in Auckland has dictatorial powers over trade unionists.”
