(11.30 a.m.*.—Seedings for the Wimbledon lawn tennis championships, which begin on June, 20, are: Men’s singles: Schroeder, Gonzales, Parker, Falkenburg (all United States), Bromwich (Australia), Drobney (Czechoslovakia), Sturgess (South Africa), Sedgman (Australia). Women’s singles: Miss Brough, Mrs Dupont, Mrs Todd, Miss Morgan, Miss Fry (all United States), Miss Quertier (Britain), Mrs Adamson (France), Miss Curry (Britain). Men’s doubles: Schroeder and MuJloy, Bromwich and Sedgman, Gonzales and Parker, Drobny and Falkenburg. Women’s doubles: Miss Brough and Mrs Dupont, Miss Morgan and Mrs Todd, Mrs Blair and Miss Quertier, Miss Gannon and Mrs Hilton (Britain). Mixed doubles: Bromwich and Miss Brough, Sidwell and Mrs Dupont, Falkenburg and Miss Morgan, Sturgess and Mrs Summers. French Beat Czechs Sn Davis Cup Surprise PARIS, Mon. (10 a.m.). - France caused the tennis surprise of the year today by beating Czechoslovakia in the quarter-finals of the European zone of the Davis Cup. France led by 2 matches to 1 when today’s matches began. Marrel Bernard clinched the win for France by defeating Vladimir Cernik 6—4, 6—2, 6—l, giving France an unassailable 3—l lead. In the final singles Jaroslav Drobny defeated Robert Abdesselam, 6—l, 6—l, 62.
