Britain Warned That Costs Must Be Lowered
LONDON, Tue. (11.30 a.m.). —Two prominent men today warned Britain that she must reduce costs. ‘ • The chairman of the Conservative Party (Lord. Wodltoriy said that unless she could produce goods more cheaply, Britain was doomed to economic disaster when American aid terminated.
He added: “I am satisfied that the level of the taxation in this country is seeping at the foundations of our prosperity.
