Schramm Standing For Parnell Seat
WELLINGTON, Wed. (Sp.). A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr F. W. Schramm, who was defeated at the 1946 general election. has again been selected as the Labour Party candidate for the Parnell seat. Included in a further list of five candidates announced yesterday by the national secretary .of the Labour Party (Mr A. J. McDonald) are three from the Auckland Province. The Minister of Agriculture (Mr Cullen) has again been selected to contest the Hawke’s Bay electorate. Other candidates are: Eden, Mr P. T, Curran; Hamilton, Mr J. Granville; Manawatu, Mr B. A. Rodgers.
