Czechs Reopen Talks With Church
PRAGUE, Thu. (11 a.m.).—lt is officially announced that the Czechoslovak Central Action Committee has reopened negotiations with the Roman Catholic Church to settle questions between the church and the state. The discussion will be based on a memorandum from Czechoslovak Roman Catholic bishops, rising out of a recent meeting with M. Gottwald. Outstanding questions are understood to be the nationalisation of church property, the status of church schools, and the Government’s position about the payment of salaries to priests.
