Onerahi Bus Shelters Ready For Use
In accepting the three bus shelters built by the Onerahi and District Progressive Society, the Onerahi Town Board on Tuesday night commented on the public spiritedness of the men and women who had raised the money and done the work to provide the township with public amenities of such a pleasing aspect. The three shelters are built of concrete blocks and are roofed with tiles.
Asking the town board to accept the shelters and maintain them for the people of Onerahi, the society last night, completed a project of some month’s standing to provide shelter for passengers waiting to catch the Whangarei bus on the corner of Handforth Street and the main street, in Manaia Place, and on the Anglican Church corner.
