Australian Team To Tour Dominion?
League
AUCKLAND, Thu. (Sp.).—The possibility of an Australian Rugby League team touring New Zealand next season for the first time since 1935 was forecast yesterday by Mr K. J. Sharp, secretary of the Australian Rugby League Board of Control and the New South Wales Rugby League who is returning to Sydney by the Aorangi after a five months’ tour in the interests of the game.
Mr Sharp told members of the New Zealand council that an invitation to Australia to send a team, together with a suggested period for the tour, would almost certainly be accepted, especially in view of the undertaking given in Australia at the time of the Kiwi tour this year that the return trip would be made at the first opportunity.
