granted. Lost Inter-Club Badminton Match
The last inter-club badminton match of Whangarei’s 1948 season will be against Dargaville at the Drill Hall on Saturday night. Three weeks ago Whangarei had a points win at Dargaville, with the games at 12-all. and the return match should produce some high-class badminton.
The Whangarei team will be: Messrs R. Crawford. D. Purser, P. Welson, L. Price, M. Jenkin, L. Dyer. Misses S. Griffin, P. Gilbert, M. McDonald. Mi'S Purser, Miss G. McDonald and Mrs J. Wright. As the Army authorities require the Drill Hall tomorrow night, the club championships will now commence on Thursday evening.
