Mass Attwood Beaten
AUCKLAND, Mon. (Sp.)—The defeat of the New Zealand and Auckland women’s tennis champion. Miss E. G. Attwood, by the New Zealand junior champion,, Miss V. Johnson, 6 —5, 6 —4, was the highlight of play during the week-end in a special invitation tennis tournament sponsored by the West End Tennis Club on its en-tout-cas courts at Herne Bay. Most of Auckland’s leading players took part in the four events, which will be concluded on the same courts next Saturday.
