Whangarei Aero Club Proposal
The Whangarei Aero Club will place a definite proposition before members and intending members at the annual general meeting to be held in the near future.
This was decided by the executive last night. The president (Mr R. R. Roseman) read a letter from the Waikato Aero Club setting out the means by which it had raised the money to set that club on its feet. The same proposition is to be put before the general meeting at Whangarei. Mr R. Warren was appointed secretary pro tern to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr C. Waymouth. Accepting Mr Waymouth’s resignation with regret, the president thanked him for the work he had put into the club’s affairs.
Mr Waymouth agreed to accept a position on the committee. Considerable discussion took place on ways and means of financing the club. It was considered that if Kaitaia could finance acquisition of a plane so could Whangarei. The executive is to recommend that the general meeting take an aggressive attitude.
