Skymaster Lands At Palmyra
SYDNEY. Sun.—A Skymaster aircraft of British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines, which left Sydney on Wednesday for San Francisco and Vancouver, developed engine trouble and landed at Palmyra Island, northwest of Fanning. Island.
The aircraft, which had a full complement of passengers, was flying from Canton Island to Honolulu when the fault developed.
A decision was made to land on the United States Naval airstrip at Palmyra Island.
