Presbyterian Church Holds Annual Meeting
Reports presented at the annual meeting of the Whangarei Presbyterian Church congregation revealed that the various organisations PWMU, Young People’s Club, Women’s Fellowship, Bible Classes, Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades, Sunday Schools, Tennis Club had operated successfully during the past year, and thanks were accorded to leaders and members. Messrs J. H. 8011. F. L. Izod and A. N. Weaver, who had been members of the board of management for some yesrs, were elected members of the Kirk Session. Messrs Roy Abercrombie, Blacklock and Arthur Plaistcd were elected managers to replace those elected elders, the retiring members of the board being re-elected. At the conclusion of the business meeting, over which the Rev. T. H. Burton presided, supper was served.
