Hyderabad's Case Fo r United Nations
HYDERABAD, Sun. (1 p.m.)—lt is reliably learned that the Hyderabad Agent-General in London (Nawab Mir Nawaz Jung) and the Agent-General in Pakistan (Mushtaq Ahmed Khan) met the Governor General of Pakistan (Mr Jinnah) at Quetta and discussed possibilities of Pakistan sponsoring the Hyderabad case before the United Nations.
Raiders publicly shot dead the Lama of Ganskar Padarn monastery, which is one of the biggest in the Ladakh Valley, after taking the lama to- thenheadquarters in Kargil, says Reuters Srinagar correspondent, quoting reports from Leh.
The Kashmir Government estimated that the raiders had put 100 Buddhists to the sword in the Ladakh Valley, sacked and destroyed several monasteries, including Ringdom and Gopha, and removed jewel-studded Buddhas and priceless tapestries.
