WELLINGTON. A that the Wellington Metropolitan Licensing Authority be urged to increase the number of taxicabs plying for hire by 50 has been approved by the City Council. The deputy Mayor (Mr R. i[ Mac Alister) said be a compulsory roster system under which each driver had to give some definite service some part c£ the dfy.
