Boy's Death Not Dye To Palio
Officially reported to the Health Denartment as having died from poliomyelitis, a boy aged 18 months from Opononi has been found to have succumbed to pneumococcal meningitis. This was notified by the Health Department this afternoon. The child was first diagnosed at its heme and was rushed to the Rawene Hospital, but died en route. With the alteration in the diagnosis the number of poliomyelitis cases in Northland is now 46. three having been fatal.
