Goods Measurements At Whangarei Wharf
At the Whangarei Harbour Board yesterday Mr -R. H. Allan said he had seen a case measured in the Whangarei wharf sheds to check the consignor’s markings.
The case was marked as being of five feet cubic measurement, whereas contained eight cubic feet. He said that the board would lose considerable revenue if there was no check of these measurements.
The board instructed the secretary (Mr N. A. Murphy) to investigate the matter and bring down a report to the next board meeting.
