Kaitaia Favours Block Subscriptions
KAITAIA, Fri. (Sp.).—Block subscriptions to Federated Farmers (N.Z.), where already operating, had enabled farmers to voice opinions as one body. This was mentioned by a speaker who advocated adoption of this step at a special general meeting of suppliers to the Kaitaia Coop. Dairy Co.. Ltd., this week.
The success of the block subscription scheme operated through the Albertland dairy company was specifically ■ mentioned.
After discussion the meeting recommended to the directors of the Kaitaia company that the principle of block subscriptions to Federated Farmers (Auckland Province) be adopted but that action be deferred until such time as the objects and policy of Federated Farmers (N.Z.) were more clearly defined.
