Northland Plane Delayed At kaikohe

KAIKOHE, Thu. (Sp.).—Failing to restart after landing at Kaikohe on time this morning, the Leckheed Electra plane, Kuaka, was unable to complete the remainder of her Northland passenger service. The trouble was traced to a fault in the electric wiring. A National Airways Corporation plane, with an electrician and spare parts aboard, was sent from Auckland. The Kuaka, which arrived at 11.20 a.m., was still grounded at 1.30 p.m. It is hoped to transfer four passengers booked for Kaitaia and seven booked for the southward trip from Kaitaia, to service cars.
