Board Members Sail On Cape York
The Cape York, which has been unloading a fertiliser cargo at Port Whangarei, sailed this morning for Melbourne. Unloading was finished yesterday afternoon.
When she left the wharf at 10.25 the vessel had aboard, members of the Whangarei Harbour Board, who postponed their regularly monthly meeting, to have been held today, to enable them to make the trip on the vessel as far as the Whangarei Heads. Accompanying the pilot, (Captain M. McGregor) was the board’s new harbourmaster and pilot (Mr E. S. Ross).
