Crowded Hora Hora Meeting

Members and supporters of tne Hora Hora Football Club overflowed the Town Hall supper room when the annual meeting was held last night. Five teams, comprising senior, junior, junior colts, third and fourth grade, are to be entered in the Whangarei Rugby Union's competitions. Mr J. Gardiner and Mr P. Gardiner, the retiring president and patron, were accorded a vote of thanks for the splendid service they had given to the club. . A credit balance of £347 ' was shown, this having been raised from £126 during the past season. SECRETARY THANKED In passing a vote of thanks to the secretary (Mr T. Conaghan) for the outstanding financial position, members expressed gratitude for his untiring efforts on their behalf. Twenty-one new members were accepted. Officers elected are: Patron, Mr J. Dickie, W. Moslem, Storey, W. Cooper, Green MANAIA LIFE MEMBER Mr D. S. Kerr was elected a lifemember of the Manaia Football Club at its annual meeting, held last night. As president and secretary, Mr Kerr has been associated with the club since its inception and was mainly responsible for its formation. After a full discussion, the meeting was in favour of entering a team in the junior restricted grade, if this competition eventuates. Officers elected are: Patron, Mr F. Going; president, Mr D. S.
