Double Ah Service For North At End Of June
KAITAIA, Tue. (Sp.).—An additional air service for Northland will be put into operation as soon as possible, and at the moment it is expected that this will be about the end of June.
The Kaitaia Chamber of Commerce, which has been active in representation for early fulfilment of a promise made- some months ago, has received a reply to this effect from the general manager of the National Airways Corporation (Mr F. Maurice Clarke). The tentative timetable announced some time ago provides for replacement of the present once-daily plane tc Whangarei, Kaikohe and Kaitaia with two services.
Leaving Auckland at 8 a.m. the morning service would reach Kaitaia at 10 o’clock, departing at 10.15 to reach Auckland at 12.15.
Again leaving Auckland at 12.30 p.m. the afternoon service would reach Kaitaia at 2.30, departing at 2.45 to land at Auckland at 4.45 p.m.
