TE KUITL—The giant Hangatiki cutting, 62ft deep on its centre line and 90ft on the western face, is expected to be opened next week. The construction of the Hangatiki-T e Kui t i state highway is on an new liop, and wheri the section is sealed next year a bitumen road will extend from Te Kuiti to Auckland.—(Sp.) * * *
