Priorities For Tasman Air Travel?
AUCKLAND, Sat. (Sp.). Travel priorities may be reintroduced on the Aucldand-Sydney air service. Travel agencies are freely discussing this possibility, but suggest that any restrictions might not be as sweeping as those in force during the war.
Shipping shortages have resulted in an accumulation of people wishing to travel to Australia, and this will be aggravated by the temporary withdrawal of the Wahine in May. Some quarters would not be surprised if the Government decided that a proportion of the seats on Tasman aircraft should be retained under a priority system for travellers on urgent business. At the time of the interruption to the service the first available seat was in June.
