LONDON. Thu. (1 p.m.)—At the London wool sales today a catalogue of 12,781 bales was offered, from which 11,493 bales were sold. New Zealand submitted 5727 and Australia 4900 bales. Best styles among the Dominion wools were well taken up. but ordinary- top-making greasy Merinos declined 5 per cent.
The Home trade and France were the chief buyers. At Bradford, wool tops (Merino! and 70s made lOOd; 645, 80d: 60s, 86d; Xbred, 565, 52d; 50s, 34d; 465, 31a.
Whangarei nominations to the post of No. 1 Divisional Area representative on the New Zealand Labour Party’s central executive are Messrs A W. Adams, A. B. Dixon and A. Hellyn. The present representative, Mr A. J. Magee, is not seeking re-election.
