Wharagarei Labour porty Officials
The annual meeting of the Whangarei branch of the New' Zealand Labour Party was held in the Marsden Hall last evening. Mr C. Reinhart presided.
The presentation of an attache case was made to Mr J. A. Murphy as a mark of appreciation for the many years that he had served the branch as auditor.
In making the presentation Mr C. Reinhart paid tribute to the work done by Mr Murphy for the party. Mr Murphy responded. Tribute was also paid to the ability of the secretary (Mr J. McGaughey). who. on account of ill-hcalth, was not seeking re-election. The election of officers resulted: President. Mr I. G. Rogers; vicepresident. Mr F. Moore; secretarytreasurer. Mr C. Reinhart; executive. Mrs C. Reinhart, Messrs A. Hellyn, J. McGaughey, J. Gunthorpe, T. Soich; trustees, Messrs J. Gunthorpe and D. Ross; auditor, Mr J. Murphy.
